My Background

I earned my Masters Degree in Agriculture Science from California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo, and have been a teacher of Agriculture and Environmental Horticulture at Antelope Valley College since 1981.

I believe that property taxes should be used only to bring water to the Antelope Valley, which benefits all the property owners. All other water cost including water treatment should be included only in the imported water rate. The property owner not being served by imported water should NOT subsidize those using imported water.

I believe that local citizens should control the water in the Antelope Valley, not corporations, JPA's or municipalities located outside the Antelope Valley.

I have worked with local cities and businesses on water issues and I understand the needs of water users on the residential, commercial and industrial level.

My experience as a homeowner, farmer, and landscape contractor gives me a well-rounded understanding of water issues.

I understand the needs of residential water use, and the benefits of a well-maintained landscape, for increased property value, climate control of your home, and the pleasure of outdoor living in the Antelope Valley.

I support in the use of imported water, and saving our groundwater until needed.

I have voted and will continue to vote for producing quality drinking water at a reasonable cost.

I am pro-active on water conservation and conservative on money management.
